Fall Semester 2018-2019
New for 2018-2019
Due to construction of the new Lassiter Gymnasium, parking will be limited beginning mid fall through fall of 2019. Once construction begins, we will lose approx. 340 spaces DURING construction, with ONLY about 100 lost after completion. As a result, we will allow only seniors to park on campus during construction. It will be important to follow all parking guidelines during the school day. You must have a decal to park on campus. Students are not allowed to park at Harrison Park, and may be subjected to towing. Students may not park in any areas designated as faculty parking.
Online Parking Application Window:
Applications may be submitted between July 9, 2018, and August 3, 2018. Decals are limited and may not be available after the application window.
- Senior Decal - $50 (expires at the end of fall semester)
- Junior Decal - $25 (expires at the start of construction)
Seniors and juniors may purchase parking decals on GO-Day (July 19, 2018) from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (at your designated time) at the basketball concession stand (lines may be long). Please note: You should report at your designated time (see Go-Day flyer).
Payments can be made by check, or exact cash. To expedite the process, students must follow the steps below to download and complete the forms from the Lassiter website ahead of time and pay online.
Students who are out of town and unavailable to submit parking application materials and purchase decals on Go-Day may turn in parking applications and payment on July 23-24 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. in room 319 at the Trojan Head.
Decals may be picked up July 25 - 26 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. in room 319.
Please note: You must follow all three steps!
Step One: (Beginning July 9)
Students: Click on the link below, and submit the online application before submitting any parking paperwork/payment. This does not automatically secure a decal
Print and complete the following forms, and make sure all signature lines are complete (student and parent/guardian).
- Lassiter High School Student/Parent Parking Contract (two pages)
- Cobb County Board of Education Parking Application (two pages)
- Cobb County Notification of Truancy and Tardy Rule
Paper clipped in order:
- Check made payable to Lassiter High School or exact cash in the amount of $50
- Three forms above.
- Copy of the student’s current/valid driver's license.
- Copy of the current/valid insurance card for the car you will be parking.
- Copy of the current/valid Georgia tag registration (cannot be expired).
Applications will be incomplete and not accepted if any of the above items are incorrect or missing.
Students who owe book, media, or parking fines have to pay them first before applying for a parking decal. Pay book fines to Mr. Leterle, pay media fines in media center, and pay parking fines to Mrs. Basler (office beside Trojan head in skylight hall).
Students cannot apply for a parking decal if they had six or more unexcused tardies or seven or more unexcused absences last semester. You will have to wait until 45 school days have gone by since the last tardy/absence. Get your last tardy/absence date from PPO, then see Ms. Basler for eligibility date to purchase a decal.
You must place decal on the front windshield in the bottom passenger corner. Cars without a visible decal will receive a ticket.
Students who park in an area that is not designated for student parking will receive a ticket. Including or not limited to: staff spaces, bus lanes, stripped line areas, and Harrison Park.
Students are to vacate the front lot no later than 3:45 p.m. each afternoon. That parking area will close promptly at 3:45 p.m. If you do not remove your vehicle, you will be subject to your vehicle being towed.
