Lassiter High School will offer the PSAT/NMSQT for 10th and 11th graders on two separate dates this year because of safety measures outlined by the CollegeBoard and CCSD. While not a requirement, we offer the PSAT each fall to students as a preparation for college entrance exams. The feedback you receive from the test is critical for individual students and the school to identify and remediate areas of strength and weakness. You can link the results to Khan Academy so your child can have individualized intensive practice.
10th graders - This year the state of Georgia will continue to offer the PSAT free of charge for all 10th-grade students on Wednesday, October 14. We do need you to register your child so that we can ensure we have a safe testing environment.
Please click the 10th PSAT form to sign up your 10th-grade student by September 14 (Please note, you must login to a Microsoft/365 account to access the form).
11th graders - 11th-grade students may take the PSAT for $17.00 on Thursday, October 29. Taking this test not only provides the benefits listed above but also allows 11th graders to be eligible for the National Merit Scholarship program.
Please click the 11th PSAT form to sign up your 11th-grade student by September 14.
From the form click to visit MyPaymentsPlus to pay for the test (Please note, you must login to a Microsoft/365 account to access the form).
Please complete the survey by Monday September 14, 2020, indicating if your student will be participating in this year’s administration. You will be responsible for transportation to and from the school. You will get notification about testing specifics by email prior to test day.
We will be following College Board safety guidelines:
- Required six feet spacing of desks.
- Required wearing of masks for students.
- Asking of five COVID related questions at testing check-in.
Please email your school counselor with additional questions.
