Academic Letter Recipients and Ceremony
Academic Letter

Each fall semester, Lassiter High School has a standing tradition of recognizing our most ambitious students by hosting an academic letter ceremony. During this ceremony we recognize and award students who earned a 4.0 GPA or higher for the fall semester and a 4.0 GPA or higher for the spring semester of the prior academic year. During the ceremony, we award first year recipients with the Lassiter L and the Lamp of Knowledge insignia. Second- and third-year recipients receive an academic bar. This outstanding accomplishment should be in high regard as many students strive for such an achievement, but only a few fulfill this ambitious goal. We congratulate these students on this truly remarkable effort.

Due to COVID-19, this year we were unable to host a ceremony. However, we did recognize students in homeroom. Dr. Richie made a special announcement, homeroom teachers presented the awards, students applauded, administrators walked around congratulating students, and pictures were taken. Students were happy to receive this recognition in front of their peers and teachers.
