Survey responses are anonymous, and you will submit responses directly to AdvancED for analysis. Individual data results will not be available to the public and will not be posted online. You may use any personal device to complete this survey. The AdvancED parent survey will be open February 22 through April 1. AdvancED, formerly SACS, is the non-profit organization that conducts rigorous, on-site reviews of prek-12 schools and school systems and certifies that accreditation standards are being met.

Tardy Policy

Please keep in mind the Lassiter High School tardy policy. One of the best ways for our students to receive an excellent education is to be in class and on time every day. Below is a reminder of our 2015-2016 tardy policy. Students should make every effort to be on time to school and to every class.

  • Fourth unexcused tardy - one Saturday school
  • Sixth unexcused tardy - one Saturday school and loss of parking
  • Ninth unexcused tardy - two days ISS or two days of Saturday school
  • Twelfth unexcused tardy - three days ISS
  • Each additional tardy - three days ISS

Daily Practice for the New SAT

This is a free app that allows students to “scan and score” a paper PSAT/NMSQT or SAT practice test with their mobile device and receive instant score feedback and connect to practice resources. There is a one minute video on the site that showcases this new PSAT/SAT practice app.

Georgia Parent Survey

Parents of students in Cobb County Schools are encouraged to give their input on their students’ schools.

The Georgia Department of Education has devised the Georgia parent survey allowing parents to go online and rate the climate of their children’s schools. The DOE developed the survey to gather perceptions from school community members regarding various aspects of school environments.

The Georgia parent survey contains 24 questions related to teaching and learning, school safety, interpersonal relationships, institutional environment, and parent involvement. The answers provided in the surveys will be taken into calculation of school climate star ratings for all public schools throughout Georgia.

All responses will be kept anonymous, and surveys can be taken on personal computers or smartphones. The survey can be accessed online.

We also want to let you know that students will be taking Georgia Health Survey (GHS) 2.0. The GSHS 2.0 is an anonymous statewide survey instrument developed by many divisions within the GaDOE including the assessment and accountability division and in collaboration with the Georgia Department of Public Health and Georgia State University.

The GSHS 2.0 identifies safety and health issues that have a negative impact on student achievement and school climate.

For more information on the Georgia Health Survey, you can visit the DOE online.
