Cobb Youth Leadership Applications

The Cobb Youth Leadership is now accepting applications for next year’s class. The program features monthly meetings, which focus on different aspects of the Cobb County community (health, politics, public safety, and entertainment) while developing leadership skills through interactive participation. 

They are seeking driven, ambitious, and creative students to participate starting in August 2018. To be eligible for the program, all students must be entering into their 11th grade year in high school. All applications must be submitted online, and the deadline is Friday, April 13. Please see the list of dates for important dates relating to this.

    KiDtalk And TeacherTalk Video Contest

    The Cobb County School District is excited to announce the 2018 KiDtalk and TeacherTalk video contest. Share your story on how you are inspired and the impact it's had on you or those around you. Submissions are due by April 13, 2018. Please see our video contest flyer for more information.

    PTSA Scholarship

    The Lassiter High School PTSA is offering scholarships to qualifying seniors. Seniors who have an interest in applying must complete an application and answer three essay questions. All seniors must be a 2017-2018 PTSA member. Please join our PTSA if not a current member. Scholarship applications are available at the counseling office and are due no later than March 30, 2018.     Lassiter High School Prom Information

    The Lassiter High School prom is right around the corner! The 2018 LHS prom will take place on March 17, 2018, from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. at the Fox Theatre. Please check out our prom flyer for all the details. Also for Lassiter students, Savvi Formalwear will be offering students a $50.00 discount off of their prom rentals. Please use code SGB105 for this offer.

    House Bill 251

    The application window for HB 251 transfers for the 2018-2019 school year will open from February 5, 2018, through February 28, 2018. Please keep in mind that available space at a school depends on permanent classroom space. Available spaces are not assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.     AP Exam Final Update

    AP exam pink verification forms should have been signed and returned to your student's advisement teacher. We have made changes per your requests, and we have updated balances in MyPaymentsPlus.     Spring semester final exams begin on Friday, May 18 and run through Wednesday, May 23. Please take a moment to view our spring semester final exam schedule and permission form for information concerning our school operations at this important time of the year.

    Mark your calendars for 2018 Commencement on May 26, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. at the Kennesaw State University Convocation Center.

    AP Exam Payment Update

    AP exam fees have been uploaded into My Payments Plus. Please give the bookkeeper a few days to input the manual checks that have been paid into the system. Payments can be made online in installments up through February 28, 2018. We are not specifying the amount you must pay. The system will allow you to make payments as you wish. If you prefer to pay by check, please send payment addressed to Lassiter High School, Attention: Kelli Price (bookkeeper) in the front office.
