Vision 2026 Community Forums
Current Cobb County kindergarten students will graduate in 2026. What will our schools look like then? Will schools have the same structure that they do now? Will parents play a larger role in their local schools? What about class sizes, finances, and school culture? All of these are considerations as the Cobb County School District considers its future options. You are invited to join our Vision 2026 community conversations about the future of Cobb County schools, scheduled for November 18 and 21, and December 3 and 5. The forum on December 5 is in the Lassiter school theater. For more information, please visit Vision 2026.

Earning Credit Through Demonstrating Subject Area Competency (Testing Out)
Beginning in the 2013-14 school year, students will have the option of testing out of a high school course. In order to test out, a student may participate in the administration of an End-of-Course Test prior to enrolling in and taking the course, and if he or she scores at the “exceeds” level on the state assessment, he or she will be awarded credit for that course.
For parents who were unable to attend the open house and obtain activation codes for ParentVUE, you may see Ms. Cheri Gross any day at Lassiter High School to obtain the activation code for your account. Photo IDs are required. Please feel free to read the full instructions.
