Earning Credit Through Demonstrating Subject Area Competency (Testing Out)

Beginning in the 2013-14 school year, students will have the option of testing out of a high school course. The deadline to submit a registration form to the school counseling office is February 21.

In order to test out, a student may participate in the administration of an End-of-Course Test prior to enrolling in and taking the course, and if he or she scores at the “exceeds” level on the state assessment, he or she will be awarded credit for that course.
